Danbo Fun | 蛋蛋屋 (http://tinyurl.com/ryjr2x), a Japanese curry restaurant chain has WiFi in their stores. I don’t see a sign, but I have used it several times.
RBT | 仙踪林 (http://www.rbt.com.cn, http://tinyurl.com/ob3tkl), a Taiwan Tea/Noodle/Snack restaurant chain has WiFi now. You can see the sign in the stores.
There is One more WIFI hotspot for Free. It the Coffee Beanery inside the Super Brand Mall, near the Financial Trade Centre.
I have used it many times.
Hey guys,
I’ve found another small cafe that’s within walking distance from Jing An temple. It has free wifi and 2 tables for sitting around. Another plus for me is that it serves organic snacks.. some really nice sorbet in the Shanghai summer.

I’ve been to over a dozen Starbuck’s in Shanghai and have never paid one rmb to use their wireless service. A few times I have had to get a special code from the barista for customers and sometimes they don’t even change this code daily so I have come back the next day with no problem – free internet all day (as long as I am drinking a 40rmb latte or eating a 60rmb snack).
Yes! Starbucks in Shanghai began offering free wifi this year whereas they didn’t before. I should update the post when I’m not too lazy. Cheers.
Krispy Kreme is a good place for free wi-fi. They also give you a free donut to taste.
