Happy New Year! 新年快乐！
Belated Happy New Year, to all you!
I have spent a terrific new year holiday in my hometown - Guangzhou and visited Chime Long Zoo in Panyu Guangzhou. Very exciting to see the animals from Australia. It is my first time to see kangaroo and koala bear. Share with you!
I never know they have such a strong tail as the “third foot”.
Koala bear sleeps 18-20 hours a day. It was lucky to see them up and move around. Very cute!

I too was fairly surprised to see how a Kangaroo moves around with its tail when I recently saw them at the Shanghai Zoo. While they do bounce around on two legs using their tail for balance, I noticed they move around slowly by propping themselves up on their tail!
As for Koalas, I never really found them to be cute. I actually think they’re kind of ugly. As for how much they sleep, well, pandas sleep a lot too…but maybe they spend more time eating, eating, eating.
Anyway, if you want to see a koala that is awaked and walking around, i will suggest you visit the zoo during their dinner time. For my experience, it is around 5:30pm in Guangzhou Chime Long zoo.
