China Public Holiday Change: 5 Days For May

It’s now officially 29 days to go until the World Expo in Shanghai. So instead of the originally announced 3-day Labor Day holiday for May, the Shanghai governement extended the holiday period to 5 DAYS in honor of the opening of the World Expo on May 1.

Shanghai will be off from April 30 to May 4. (So shoo! Go travel some more!)

Also, I read that the permanent residents per household will be given a free commemorative transportation card worth 200RMB and the much-valued Expo ticket! Definitely something to look forward to!
